Christmas in Málaga, two minutes from the Larios lights

Dates to note

• Switch-on

  In 2025 the ceremony began on Friday 28 November at 18:30. For 2026, local broadcaster 101TV reports it as expected on Friday 27 November, not yet officially confirmed.

• Municipal Nativity scene

  In 2025-26 it was free to visit from its opening on the evening of 5 December until 6 January in City Hall's Patio de Banderas, with over 400 figures.

• Three Kings parade

  On 5 January 2026 it went along the Alameda Principal and Calle Puerta del Mar, a short walk from Calle Nueva.

• Public holidays

  In Andalusia: Monday 7 (moved from the 6th), Tuesday 8 and Friday 25 December 2026, and 1 and 6 January 2027.

Practical tips

• Crowds on Larios

  In 2025 the local police planned over 1,300 extra shifts across the Christmas period, including crowd control on and around Calle Larios.

• Traffic

  In 2025, during the Larios shows, the Alameda Principal or Paseo del Parque could be briefly closed to private traffic. Calle Nueva is pedestrian.

• Getting here

  Centro-Alameda station, with trains to the airport, is 11 minutes away on foot, and the Camas public car park 4.

• Climate

  All the apartments have heating and air conditioning.

Before you book

• Dates. The 2026 switch-on and show times have not yet been confirmed by the City Council; those on this page are from 2025-26.
• Noise. Calle Nueva is a busy pedestrian street. In Skyline Rooftop Jacuzzi street noise can be heard inside; Skyline 2 is well insulated and the Triplex doesn't face the street.
• Stairs. Skyline Rooftop Jacuzzi's terrace is reached by a very steep ladder, and the Triplex spreads over three floors connected by stairs; its bedrooms have no doors and open onto the staircase.

Payment

30% is paid when you book. Four days before arrival you'll get an email to complete full payment of the booking.

Check-in

With an electronic lock, from 16:00. Earlier access isn't possible. Check-out by 12:00.

Linen and cleaning

There are always clean sheets and one set of towels per guest; extra towels are available for an additional charge. Stays of under 7 nights don't include cleaning or towel and sheet changes. From 7 nights, sheets and towels are changed.

Deposit

€150 for any incidents caused by guests during the stay.

Cancellation

Flexible rates can be cancelled free of charge up to 4 days before arrival; after that, part of the booking is charged. Non-refundable rates allow no date changes, and cancelling them costs 100% of the stay. For stays of more than a month, the cancellation period is one month. You'll see the exact policy before confirming.
